Life is truly a series of predisposed conditions. Who are you really? The choices that you make although they seem to be coming from your brain, are actually linked to behavior adapted by others long before you. Where you are born, can determine the quality of life and the hardships you will face. You are confronted by choices that are limited by your brain’s chemistry and the location where you exist. You might be born into poverty with behavior that will prolong a similar existence in a never ending loop. You might be born into wealth and decisions you will make will be influenced by the people you know. Of course, you might stray from the path but in you lies behavior that is set, in you lies behavior that your environment facilitates.
To go against the grain will prove to be difficult especially when you’re already pre-disposed to situations that were programmed in your psyche. When you finally make the connection, reverting everything you think you ever knew will prove to be an unsurmountable task. The path you were predestined to take is like sliding down a gigantic mountain, only to find that when you reach the bottom, you have made a grave mistake. The trek back up will prove to be treacherous. Undoing years of conditioning and programming will break you. Will you give up when the odds are stacked against you or will you continue to climb. IF you choose to continue to climb know that you will face many pitfalls. Everything you knew will not help you ascend. You cannot go back up the way you came, you have to find new paths, paths that will feel impossible.
Ascend. Don’t look back. You might have ended up where you are at because of the lottery that is life but the real threat is staying at the bottom. The real risk is being complacent to situations that threaten your very existence and the quality of your life.
